Several generations from an Italian-American family in New York struggle with events that reverberate through the ages. We encounter three sisters in war-torn 1944, a mother and her daughters in chaotic 1975, and a grandmother and her granddaughters in disorienting 1995. Can innocence and joy survive in a cruel, violent, seemingly evil world?

"As delicate and nuanced a drama as you'll find, its three actresses telling a sublime intergenerational tale beautifully...It's a lovely portrait of how ordinary lives can be defined by a few pivotal moments, of how the world's great events can have a profound impact at a very small, personal level." | New York Times
